Indiana University Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Part-Time Day PCA to provide a blend of direct patient care and unit clerical support. You will assist the patient care team, schedule tests, maintain records, and ensure a safe, clean environment.

Possible continuous observation including suicide prevention may be required. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and CPR certification, with the possibility of completing the IU Health PCA education program.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or to be completed during the PCA program.
• Previous acute patient care experience or completion of IU Health PCA education program.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Infection control principles understood.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Clinical Nurse.
• Perform unit clerical duties and assist the patient care team.
• Schedule tests, maintain patient records, and sign patients in and out of the unit.
• Maintain a clean, orderly environment and assist with safety procedures.
• May provide continuous observation including suicide prevention when required.
