Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification is required or to be obtained.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Knowledge of infection control principles.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under direction of a Clinical Nurse.
• Support the patient care team and unit operations.
• Schedule tests and procedures and maintain patient records.
• Sign patients in and out of the unit and assist with equipment and supplies.
• Provide continuous observation including suicide prevention when required.
