Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician for 1 West - Mainland Campus. This per diem, day shift role supports the nursing team by assisting patients with personal care, collecting specimens, and documenting observations.

You will work under licensed supervision and contribute to the plan of care in a busy hospital environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, BLS certification within 30 days, CPI training within 1 year, and at least 8 weeks of care-related experience or

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the role, or until 10/31/25 for existing employees in the role.
• Ability to speak and write English language required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs and participate in the plan of care.
• Collect test specimens as directed and document patient care activities.
• Communicate observations and data to the Clinical Associate.
• Perform Limited Laboratory Services as trained, including specimen prep and QC testing.
