Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor of Operations/Inventory Management to oversee staff, manage daily activities, and drive efficiency in warehouse and inventory control. The role includes coaching, escalation handling, and cross-functional collaboration to meet business goals.

The position emphasizes leadership, process optimization, and strong communication skills to support outbound/inbound reconciliations and cycle counts within a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 2-3 years related experience preferred
• Prior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience leading a team
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets)
• Experience working within ERP’s (SAP or Manhattan) preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee Operations and Inventory tasks within the facility
• Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Hold employees accountable, sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors
• Handle any escalations and apply expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own area
• Makes decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, by carefully weighing pros and cons and acting for the benefit of the work team; coaches/supports subordinates in their decision-making efforts
• Assists work team in the achievement of goals/ commitments; achieves own goals/commitments regardless of obstacles
• Builds customer relationships, interprets customer needs and assesses their business requirements
• Resolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes
• Works/brainstorms with work team and provides suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk; ensures work team understands and supports the focus
• Actively builds relationships across the business that bring value to the company, encouraging the participation and perspectives of all team members; mentors and empowers others to achieve success
• Salesforce Case Management
• Optimize efficiency in warehouse with consistent Profiling process
• Release of all cycle count plans
• Supports Outbound & Inbound Reconcilers (Day & Nights)
• Setting necessary cadence and culture of team huddles3rd party distributor Inmar and vendor returns support
• Monitor critical inventory control dashboards
• Participate in Inventory Control resource management decisions
• Monthly one on ones with team
