Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Supervisor of Operations/Inventory Management to lead daily activities and develop the team. You will supervise staff performing warehousing, inventory control, and distribution tasks, while collaborating with other departments to meet business goals.

The role emphasizes staffing, training, and executing continuous improvement initiatives within ERP environments like SAP or Manhattan, with a focus on customer service and process excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 2-3 years related experience preferred.
• Prior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets).
• Experience working within ERP’s (SAP or Manhattan) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Operations and Inventory tasks within the facility.
• Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Hold employees accountable, sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
• Handle any escalations and apply expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own area.
• Makes decisions, weighs pros and cons, and coaches subordinates in decision-making efforts.
• Resolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes.
