Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Britt, Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 to provide maintenance and reliability services at our egg processing facility.

The role involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting process improvement projects in a fast-paced plant environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of industrial maintenance experience and familiarity with mechanical drawings; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate preferred.
• 1 year of experience as an industrial maintenance technician preferred.
• Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior experience in SAP preferred.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate with reliability and maintenance teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Learn and execute Precision Maintenance techniques ensuring procedures are followed and tolerances met.
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist with maintenance tasks.
• Participate in maintenance training for maintenance personnel.
• Support reliability procedures for critical spares and parts.
• Assist in implementing quality commissioning procedures for rebuilt or new equipment.
• Use CMMS to document reliability reporting and decisions.
