Job summary

Valencia Group at Lone Star Court in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Line Cook to join the hotel dining team. You will prepare menu items from standardized recipes, maintain plate presentation, and ensure food safety and quality on every shift.

You will work with a small team, assist with station setup, train new cooks, and communicate inventory or equipment needs to the Sous Chef. The role requires 18+ and a Food Handler's certification; prior experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary training or 1–2 years of line cook experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; Food Handler's certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and plating guidelines.
• Set up and stock station; monitor quality and temperatures.
• Ensure guests receive quality, timely, and well-presented dishes.
• Collaborate with cooks and assist in training new team members.
• Communicate inventory needs and report hazards to supervisors.
