Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for the Germantown campus, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm. This is an exempt, non-bargaining role in grade 25 with essential personnel designation.

The role leads grounds staff, schedules work, reviews timesheets, conducts performance evaluations, and supports campus events. Salary is commensurate with experience, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience supervising grounds/landscape personnel in a large environment.
• Experience operating snow removal and grounds equipment.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to assigned grounds staff and inspect work.
• Schedule, assign, and review tasks to standards.
• Review timesheets and conduct performance evaluations.
• Recruit and interview; hire recommendations; ensure safety of equipment.
• Inspect campus grounds for cleanliness and safety.
• Budget, purchase, and manage equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
• Support campus events and communicate updates to staff.
• Create and track work orders; complete tasks.
