Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking a Building Service Supervisor for the Germantown campus on the third shift (10:00pm–6:30am, Mon–Fri). This Exempt, non-bargaining role oversees custodial staff, schedules work, and manages contractors to keep campus facilities safe and clean.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D and ability to perform custodial duties.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience leading custodial staff.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties to staff, set priorities, and monitor performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching; handle disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate in-house training and evaluate staff training needs.
• Review timesheets, schedule and inspect work, and ensure standards.
• Oversee contractors, review bids, issue purchase orders, and sign off work.
• Assist in implementing systematic team cleaning and GS 42.
• Maintain SDS documentation and operate college vehicles and equipment.
• Create and track work orders using the college system.
