Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking a Building Service Supervisor for the Germantown campus, working the third shift from 10:00pm to 6:30am, Monday through Friday. The role is exempt, non-bargaining (grade 23) and designated essential personnel to keep campus facilities operational.

Responsibilities include supervising custodial staff, evaluating performance, coordinating training, scheduling work, and overseeing contractors and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
• Six years of progressively responsible custodial supervisory experience.
• Ability to evaluate training and coach staff.
• Experience reviewing timesheets and supervising contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned staff, assign duties, establish priorities and deadlines, and monitor performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or formal discipline as needed.
• Coordinate in-house training and assess training needs of staff.
• Review timesheets, inspect work, and oversee contractor bids, purchases, and sign-offs.
