Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. seeks a Fleet Maintenance Technician for the Boise, ID location to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, use precision instruments, and perform timely repairs to keep equipment in service.

The role requires literal hands-on work, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work closely with a team in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in maintenance on trucks, bodies, frames or trailers preferred.
• Ability to read precision instruments and perform diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures on trucks, trailers or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters and multimeters.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of truck components and systems.
• Welding may be required to complete repairs.
