Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, IA is seeking a Maintenance Electrician (MEL1) to provide maintenance and reliability services in the plant. You will execute electrical/instrumentation PM, participate in RCA and reliability programs, and support asset health improvements alongside the plant team.

This position requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical/instrumentation

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Associate degree or two-year technical certificate.
2 years of experience as a maintenance electrician.
Electrical license or certification preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Maintain electrical/instrumentation assets and reliability programs.
Follow safety, GMP, and quality procedures at all times.
Troubleshoot, install, and start up electrical equipment and controls.
Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and prepare reports.
Support root cause analysis and preventive maintenance initiatives.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve asset health.
