Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, IA is seeking a Maintenance Electrician L1 to support electrical/instrumentation maintenance, PM, PDM, RCM, and reliability improvements within the plant.

You will work with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure asset health and safe, compliant operations, including participation in safety and GMP practices. The role requires a self-starter willing to handle installation, troubleshooting, and process improvement projects, with schedule including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Associate degree or technical certificate.
• 2 years of experience as a maintenance electrician.
• Electrical license or certification preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent administrative and follow up skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate with electrical/instrumentation maintenance team to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Champion Precision Maintenance techniques and ensure procedural compliance.
• Support maintenance training for personnel on electrical/instrumentation tasks.
• Follow reliability procedures for spares and parts of critical equipment.
• Follow quality commissioning procedures for rebuilt or new equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical/instrumentation issues.
• Utilize CMMS to document and support reliability reporting and decisions.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records as required.
• Provide input for RCA and reliability improvements.
