Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring safety and food quality.

You will troubleshoot, install, and start up machinery, support reliability initiatives, and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to reach KPI targets. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Experience with SAP and ability to read drawings preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical aptitude preferred.
• 1 year of maintenance technician experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior experience in SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate with reliability and maintenance teams to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Learn and execute Precision Maintenance techniques and ensure tolerances are met.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with experienced maintenance personnel.
• Support maintenance training for staff and reliability procedures.
• Assist in implementing quality commissioning for rebuilt or new equipment.
