Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Day Diesel Mechanic to maintain street sweepers and equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and air systems to keep our fleet safe and reliable.

This full‑time role offers a competitive $22-$37 per hour, first pay increase at 6 months, and minimal travel. You will work first shift in Nashville, TN with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 2 years in a shop with hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.
• License: Driver’s License.
• Tools: Provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Compliance: Must pass MVR, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: Perform thorough inspections and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Execution: Carry out maintenance tasks with precision following blueprints and torque requirements.
• Equipment Operation: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems.
• Material Handling: Handle parts and lubricants safely and dispose waste per regulations.
• Reporting: Immediately report equipment issues to management.
• Communication: Inform operators and team about repair status and parts needs.
• Compliance & Documentation: Complete service reports and safety checklists.
• Attendance: Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
