Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring a Day Diesel Mechanic in the Cleveland, OH area. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair street sweepers and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance and safe operation of hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.

Responsibilities include following blueprints, maintaining documentation, and communicating maintenance needs to operators. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in a shop, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 2 years in a shop with hydraulic, electrical and air systems; heavy equipment, waste & recycling exp preferred.
• License: Driver’s License.
• Tools: Provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools.
• Age: Must be at least 18.
• Compliance: Pass MVR, background check, DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and diagnostics on equipment.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and preventive tasks on sweepers and heavy equipment.
• Operate diagnostic tools and follow blueprints and torque specs.
• Handle parts, lubricants and fluids safely and dispose of waste per regs.
• Report issues promptly to management and maintain accurate records.
