Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 2 years hands-on shop experience with hydraulic, electrical, and air systems (heavy equipment, waste/recycling preferred).
• License: Driver’s License.
• Tools: Must provide basic hand and diagnostic tools.
• Age: Must be at least 18.
• Compliance: Pass MVR, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safety & inspection: perform thorough inspections following safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Execution: carry out assembly, repair, and preventive maintenance with attention to torque specs.
• Equipment Operation: use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems on sweepers and heavy equipment.
• Material Handling: safely manage parts, lubricants, and fluids per procedures.
• Reporting: document issues and escalate safety concerns to management.
• Communication: relay status, parts needs, and schedule changes clearly to operators.
• Compliance & Documentation: maintain required records and reports.
• Adaptability & Problem Solving: diagnose issues and adjust approaches to reduce downtime.
• Regular & Predictable Attendance: maintain consistent attendance for shifts.
