Job summary
Ryan Companies is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems at our Chicago downtown properties. The role includes on-call rotation and a Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
schedule. You will work with the property manager and chief engineer to ensure top-tier service and project coordination. You will troubleshoot MEP systems, manage subcontractors, and maintain clean utility spaces while delivering exceptional customer
Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot MEP system failures and repair effectively.
- Energy management system knowledge and ability to adjust set-points.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS software.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for repairs and projects.
- Respond to tenant work orders promptly and professionally.
- Assist with planning and tenant improvements with the chief engineer.
- Maintain clean mechanical and utility rooms daily.
- Monitor energy equipment, log actions, and adjust as needed.
- Support on-call, after-hours, and weekend work when required.
- Complete required safety trainings and documentation.
