Job summary

Ryan Companies is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on building systems, equipment, and fixtures at downtown Chicago properties to ensure tenant and owner satisfaction. The role includes rotating on-call responsibilities and collaborating with the property team.

The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with duties spanning maintenance execution, coordinating with subcontractors, and

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot MEP system failures and perform repairs.
• Prioritize workload in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of energy management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems as scheduled.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to tenant service work orders promptly and professionally.
• Assist with project planning and tenant improvements coordination.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas clean and organized daily.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend work when necessary.
