Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years’ experience serving individuals with IDD.
  • Knowledge of Indiana Medicaid Waiver services and related regulations.
  • Experience with EHR and waiver billing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day support aligned with ISPs, BSPs, and HSPs.
  • Supervise DSP staff and coordinate scheduling and coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Coach and provide performance feedback to DSPs.
  • Ensure compliance, documentation accuracy, and billing readiness.
  • Communicate with families, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Manage on-call rotation and respond to after-hours issues.

$750 Sign-On BonusSummary of PositionThe Day Service Manager is an hourly, management position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned residential and/or community-based programs serving Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) under Indiana Medicaid Waiver programs. This role ensures services are delivered in accordance with Individualized Support Plans (ISPs), Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), Health Support Plans (HSPs), and FSSA and BDS requirements.The Day Service Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), coordinates staffing and coverage, conducts routine site visits, supports compliance and documentation accuracy, and assists with continuity of care to promote health, safety, and person-centered outcomes. This role ensures continuity of care, staff support, regulatory compliance, and service quality, while upholding Lirio’s Mission and Values.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesStaff Supervision & SupportServe as the first point of contact for DSPs regarding scheduling, call-offs, shift coverage, and immediate program concernsCoordinate and maintain staff schedules to ensure compliance with Indiana Waiver staffing requirements and continuity of services, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededRespond to staffing emergencies and assist with or provide shift coverage when necessary to prevent service disruption, including on-call supportProvide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to DSPs related to service delivery, documentation, and professional conduct to promote quality service deliverySupport new staff onboarding, orientation follow-up, and required training completion in accordance with agency and BDS standards as well as ongoing competency development of DSPsProgram & Individual OversightOversee the day-to-day support and supervision of Individuals served to ensure services align with their ISPs, BSPs, HSPs, and person-centered outcomesConduct routine site observations to assess service quality, health and safety, environmental conditions, and staff performanceEnsure implementation of positive behavior supports and adherence to individual rights, dignity, and choiceEnsure person-centered practices are implemented and individual rights are always respectedCommunicate with individuals served, families/guardians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members as appropriateScheduling & Operational CoverageManage staff schedules, time-off requests, and coverage plans in accordance with company policy and waiver service authorizationMonitor staffing ratios and supervision requirements under Indiana Medicaid Waiver servicesRespond to staffing emergencies and implement contingency plans to prevent service disruptionParticipate in on-call rotation as assigned and respond to after-hours issues as requiredCompliance, Documentation, & Billing SupportServe as first-level reviewer for documentation related to compliance and billing, including timekeeping, service notes, EVV compliance, and required program recordsEnsure documentation supports services billed under Indiana Medicaid Waiver programs and meets BDS, FSSA, and audit standardsIdentify documentation errors, omissions, or inconsistencies and follow-up with staff for correction in a timely mannerAssist with preparation for internal reviews, external audits, licensing visits, and case manager monitoringCommunication & ReportingCommunicate program needs, staffing concerns, incidents and trends to the Regional DirectorEnsure incidents, unusual events, and health and safety concerns are documented and reported according to agency policy and state requirementsParticipate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities as scheduledAdditional DutiesPerform additional duties as requested or assigned by management to support program operations, ensure compliance, and meet the needs of Individuals servedDuties may vary based on program needs, staffing levels, or regulatory requirements and may include direct support, administrative tasks, or special projectsCore CompetenciesPerson-centered and trauma-informed leadershipCompliance and attention to detailCrisis response and problem-solvingEffective communication and teamworkFlexibility and accountabilityTime management and adaptabilityRequired Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1-3 years of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesKnowledge of Indiana Medicaid Waiver services, ISPs, BSPs, HSPs, and BDS/FSSA regulationsAbility to manage schedules and prioritize tasksAbility to respond to urgent staffing and program needs in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in human services or related fieldPrior experience as a Lead DSP, Coordinator, or SupervisorExperience with electronic health records, scheduling systems, and waiver billing documentationFamiliarity with Indiana licensing, certification and audit processes
