Job summary

ADAPT Community Network in New York City is seeking the Assistant Director of Program Services to lead high‑quality, person‑centred programming for individuals supported. You will supervise staff, support regulatory compliance, and drive program development and expansion under the Program Director’s direction.

You will help ensure services promote independence and inclusion while maintaining a safe environment, working with families, guardians, and external partners to uphold rights and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required.
• 3+ years of progressive supervisory/management experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, individuals served, families, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate program staff with coaching and development support.
• Design, coordinate, and implement program goals aligned with agency mission and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee treatment plans to ensure individualized, high‑quality care.
• Ensure adherence to OPWDD and regulatory requirements; lead quality assurance processes.
• Collect and review program data for funding, compliance, and reporting; prepare evaluations.
• Monitor departmental budgets and financial reports.
• Coordinate in‑service trainings and develop curricula for staff training.
• Manage intake and discharge processes and caseload assignments.
• Oversee incident investigations and safety training; ensure proper documentation.
