Job summary

Sevita's Mentor Community Services in California is hiring a Day Program Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a day program for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will coordinate activities, supervise staff, ensure safety, and manage documentation, budgets, and compliance with licensing standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least five years in human services, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• “5 years of experience in Human Services field”.
• “1 year of supervisory experience preferred.”
• An equivalent combination of education and experience providing required proficiency.
• Must maintain a current valid driver’s license and required certifications/tests as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, monitor, and coordinate daily operations of a day program providing services to individuals.
• Communicate with staff, individuals, guardians and team to ensure services and supports are provided.
• Supervise all-day program personnel including evaluations, scheduling, and training; handle hires and payroll actions.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure alignment with individual requirements.
• Update medication sheets and coordinate transportation for medical appointments.
• Ensure compliance with state/private certification and licensing standards; conduct inspections.
• Cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services during inspections.
• Ensure vehicles have proper documentation and maintenance; implement safety procedures.
• Maintain monthly budgets and payroll documentation; order supplies.
• Serve on committees as assigned.
