Job summary

Center for Disability Services is recruiting a Day Program Supervisor to oversee programming for people supported and supervise staff within the Day Programs, designed to increase independence and community inclusion.

The role includes direct personal support, dining, lifting, and ensuring proper program coverage. The candidate should have a high school diploma and a NYS driver’s license, with a preference for a bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NYS Driving License in good standing.
• Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and responsibility for the establishment and carry through of programming for people supported and supervision of assigned staff
• Ensures proper program coverage and oversight to the people supported
• Functions as the consultant to Team Leaders for the Interdisciplinary Team
• Provide full support to people including dining, lifting and direct personal care when necessary
• Interviews, hires, evaluates and provides necessary feedback to assigned staff

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
