Job summary

Mgcci in Illinois is seeking a Day Program Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities at community sites. The role includes coaching, mentoring, and facilitating activities to promote independent living skills and recreational engagement.

You will engage participants in active treatment, advocate for their independence, and deliver direct training while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. A valid driver’s license and DSP certification are preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• DSP certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Support persons with developmental disabilities at community sites and assist with independent living skills and recreational activities through coaching and facilitation.
• Engage individuals in active treatment during programming hours.
• Advocate for participants to foster independence and skills inside and outside the workplace.
• Provide direct training in recreational pursuits and independent living skills.
• Maintain interdisciplinary communication and case notes for each participant.
