Armor Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a correctional care setting in Georgia. The role requires an active LPN license, CPR certification, and proficiency with electronic medical records. A Level 2 background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state license as an LPN.

• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, collect laboratory specimens, take vital signs, and administer TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results reach the appropriate physician or RN.
• Ensure patients receive proper care for injuries or conditions and update chart notes accordingly.
• Review patient charts and report observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in condition.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities and document all contacts using the POMR format.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.
