Armor Health, Columbus, OH, is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our team and deliver holistic care in a correctional setting. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to support examinations, treatments, and routine procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN license and CPR certification, is proficient with EMR systems, and can pass a Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state license as an LPN.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Able to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results are delivered to the physician or registered nurse.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; document all patient contacts using the POMR format.
• Review patient charts; records and report observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.

• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.
