Zusammenfassung

WelbeHealth is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide safe, hands-on personal care for seniors at our day center. You will assist with ADLs, supervision, meal service, and transportation-related tasks within an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CA HHA/CNA preferred, and at least 1 year of senior care experience. Driving within the service area and CPR/First Aid within 180 days are expected.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification of Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant in California (CNA) preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing personal care to seniors.
• Must be willing and able to drive to participant locations within the program service area.
• CA Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire (preferred at hire).

Aufgaben

• Provide hands-on personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to WelbeHealth participants, including escorting, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry and lifting when transferring participants.
• Measure and document participants’ vital signs as instructed.
• Act as a medical escort when needed, assisting participants with boarding and exiting WelbeHealth transportation vehicles.
• Oversee activity on the day center floor to assure participant safety.
• Assist with meal service and feeding as needed.
• Maintain personal care supplies such as incontinence and grooming items.
