Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Data Transformation & Governance Associate to help govern, classify, and ready data from acquisitions for analytics. You will work across structured systems and unstructured content, documenting ownership, retention, and approval processes.

You'll support data migration, archival, and transformation readiness, coordinating with governance leads, data stewards, and security teams to ensure compliant, traceable data integration across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related enterprise technology roles.
• Experience supporting data governance, data quality, data documentation, migration, or transformation activities.
• Exposure to unstructured content environments such as mail, file storage, collaboration platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field; data governance certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain governance documentation supporting acquired‑company integration and ownership lists.
• Support data transformation initiatives including migration, archival, and analytics enablement workstreams.
• Build out the data estate inventory for acquisitions across structured and unstructured content.
• Record content attributes: category, sensitivity, ownership, retention, and disposition.
