Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Data Security Sales Specialist to align with our Commercial Central and East team. This role focuses on selling Data Security solutions to Enterprise and Strategic accounts, with emphasis on cloud, AI, and insider risk management.

You will partner with account teams, executives, and engineers to drive strategic growth across the region and high-value customers. You will guide customers through modern data security strategies, help reduce AI-related risks, and

Qualifications

• Proven success selling Data Security solutions into Enterprise and Strategic accounts.
• Experience with DLP, DSPM, IRM/ITM, Cloud/SaaS Data Protection, SSE/SASE, AI Security or AI Risk Management.
• Strong understanding of data security challenges across cloud, SaaS, AI, and hybrid environments.
• Ability to engage executive stakeholders and articulate business value and technical differentiation.
• Excellent discovery, presentation, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
• Strong strategic account planning, territory management, and forecasting capabilities.
• Thrive in a matrixed environment and build trust across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships to drive opportunities from discovery through close.
• Expand Data Security footprint within existing customers and capture new opportunities.
• Lead customers through the Data Security sales cycle using Proofpoint methodologies.
• Advise customers on data security challenges related to cloud, insider risk, regulatory compliance, and AI.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers to develop strategies and prove value via PoV/PoC.
• Partner with channels to expand market share and drive growth.
