Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Program Strategy Manager (PSM) to serve as a technical and strategic adviser to assigned customers, maximizing value of Proofpoint products and managed services. You will own customer relationships, drive 12-month roadmaps, and guide security programs to maturity.

In this role you’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage escalations, and communicate the evolving cyber threat landscape to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in professional services or similar tech role.
• Experience across multiple technology areas.
• Understanding of email, networking, and data communication technologies.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience in a 24/7 security operations environment.
• Ability to explain cybersecurity threat landscape to clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and nurture relationships with assigned strategic customers.
• Lead recurring customer meetings on service performance, system status, key issues, emerging threats, and recommended actions.
• Develop and maintain 12-month customer program roadmaps.
• Identify short- and long-term security program goals.
• Track roadmap deliverables, risks, dependencies, and deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance regarding Proofpoint products, features, and functionality.
• Coordinate complex production changes involving multiple services or technologies.
• Manage customer escalations and advocate internally for resolution.
• Monitor customer cases for accuracy, progress, and compliance with service-level objectives.
• Help customers mature their security posture and demonstrate measurable program value.
• Ensure delivery aligns with service briefs, SOPs, and Proofpoint best practices.
