Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Data Scientist to unlock insights from complex data sets using IoT, machine learning, and AI. You will turn large volumes of structured and unstructured data into actionable information, collaborate with clients to understand needs, explore data, and lead the development of algorithms and systems that drive informed decisions.

This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization or mining.
• 5+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming for data analysis.
• 5+ years of experience programming in Python, R, SQL, SAS, or MATLAB.
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Experience developing predictive data models and data visualizations.
• Experience with distributed or big data ecosystems (Spark, Databricks, ElasticSearch, NiFi).
• Knowledge of ML/AI or NLP.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Role Overview

As a data scientist, you will unlock insights from complex data sets using IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You will help turn vast amounts of structured and unstructured data into actionable information to address global challenges across various sectors. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, explore their data, and lead the development of algorithms and systems. Your work will provide a deep understanding of the data and how it can be used to make informed decisions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
• 5+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
• 5+ years of experience programming in languages such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, or MATLAB.
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources.
• Experience with distributed or big data ecosystems such as Spark, Databricks, ElasticSearch, or NiFi.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ADVANA, including enterprise data integration, curated layers, and mission centric dashboard.
• Experience with the Maven Smart System (MSS), including analytics for C2 operations, geospatial workflows, AI/ML integration, or FMV or imagery pipelines.
• Experience developing analytics or data applications in Palantir Foundry or Gotham, especially within secure environments.
• Experience with data-sources related to meteorology, oceanography, and environmental intelligence.
• Experience supporting operational customers such as Combatant Commands.
• Experience deploying analytic or ML workflows in multi-classification or secure cloud environments.
• Experience with enterprise BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2.
