Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking a seasoned program lead to align DSS study teams with program- and study-level strategies in South San Francisco, CA. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery of complex trials.

This role requires strong leadership, regulatory understanding and the ability to mentor Data Science Associates while driving process improvements and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years pharma/clinical research or 5+ years project management experience
• Strong understanding of clinical trial process and clinical technology
• Experience managing a clinical trial from initiation through to completion preferred
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Demonstrated effective analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Aligns DSS study teams with program- and study-level strategies. Leads the DSS Study Team and represents DS on cross-functional study teams
• Acts as single point of contact and accountable operational lead from DSS. Coordinates associated DSS study teams to meet objectives
• Interacts with and influences cross-functional team members to achieve objectives
• Utilizes operational analytics and project management tools to optimize execution, manage resources, track progress
• Ensures adherence to GCPs, SOPs, regulatory requirements and AbbVie standards
• Participates in oversight of vendors and provides feedback on performance
• Coaches and mentors Data Science Associates; may supervise contract resources
• Contributes to DSS and cross-functional process improvement initiatives
• Shares lessons learned across functions
