Job summary

Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program (TLP) Data Scientist track offers three rotations across Data & Analytics teams to develop expertise in advanced analytics. You’ll apply ML, design experiments, and partner with data, engineering, and business groups to drive data‑informed decisions.

You’ll gain leadership skills, mentorship, and exposure to real‑world projects while building a network with senior leaders and peers.

Qualifications

• Master’s, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and analytics.
• Experience with Python or SQL and familiarity with analytical tools.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and initiative.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply machine learning models and advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems.
• Work with large and complex data sets to identify patterns and opportunities.
• Design experiments and build predictive/prescriptive models; support model validation.
• Translate business problems into analytical approaches and deliver solutions from concept to implementation.
• Partner with data, engineering, and business teams to drive data-informed decisions.
• Communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Take ownership of projects and deliver high-impact outcomes.
• Collaborate across teams and mentor peers.
• Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers.
• Receive coaching and mentorship from managers.
