Job summary

Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program (TLP) — Data Scientist track — is designed to develop the next generation of IT leaders through rotations, hands‑on analytics, and leadership development. You’ll apply ML, statistics, and AI to solve real business problems and deliver impact at scale across the enterprise.

You will work with data scientists, engineers, and business partners, building models, conducting experiments, and translating insights into strategic actions while growing leadership

Qualifications

• Master’s, MBA, or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL, and familiarity with analytical or modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply machine learning models and advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems.
• Work with large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
• Design experiments, build predictive and prescriptive models, and support model validation efforts.
• Translate business problems into analytical approaches and deliver solutions from concept to implementation.
• Partner with data, engineering, and business teams to drive data‑informed decision‑making.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high‑impact outcomes.
• Collaborate across teams, share insights, and influence strategic decisions.
