Job summary

Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program (TLP) targets rising IT leaders through three eight‑month rotations in Risk & Security. You’ll identify and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks, collaborate with cyber, tech, and business partners, and gain leadership skills through real‑world capstones, hackathons, and projects.

The two‑year program emphasizes risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital ethics, with hands‑on development and mentorship through program and department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, threat analysis, risk management, or fraud prevention
• Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks across systems
• Analyze potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risk scenarios
• Contribute to reporting, dashboards, or insights for risk‑informed decisions
• Partner with security, technology, and business teams to strengthen controls
• Gain hands‑on experience in risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital ethics
• Apply Agile methodologies to support risk and security initiatives
• Take ownership of projects and deliver meaningful outcomes
• Collaborate across teams, share insights, and drive solutions
• Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
• Meet regularly with managers for coaching and mentorship
