Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Data Quality Clerk at Whittemore Park Middle to ensure clean, reliable data for instructional and administrative needs. The role supports local, state and federal reporting, maintaining the Student Information System with data integrity and security measures.

Responsibilities include data extraction, scheduling, grading and testing data accuracy, interfacing with parents, students and district admins, and participating in district-wide training and data

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in data technology preferred or high school diploma with data technology coursework.
• Three years experience with database related information systems preferred; one year with Student Information Systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, reliable and useful data to support instructional and administrative needs and to meet all local, state and federal requirements.
• Maintain student information system database including security management, data integrity and disaster prevention.
• Perform data activities related to data extraction and reporting for accountability and funding requirements.
• Meet data quality goals established by school administrator.
• Utilize data checking tools to verify accuracy and completeness of data.
• Take corrective measures to eliminate data problems.
• Maintain enrollment, withdrawal and transferring records.
• Interface with parents and students to obtain and record information.
• Work with building admins and counselors to create and record schedules.
• Record proper coding values for student classification.
• Coordinate with program admins to complete data requirements for state reporting.
• Report and maintain accurate grade records with teachers and admins.
• Enter, maintain and verify data for testing programs with testing coordinators.
• Maintain attendance records and assist with truancy related tasks.
• Participate in district meetings and trainings; manage communications.
• Maintain technology skills required for task performance.
