Job summary

Highmark Health seeks an experienced Data Protection Engineer to implement and support DLP and DSPM across on‑prem and cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure). You will work with PowerShell and Python to automate tasks, tune policies, and stay current with HIPAA and security standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, participate in projects, and help maintain regulatory compliance while delivering reliable data protection solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Loss Prevention and information security.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure and DSPM solutions.
• 3 years programming in Python/PowerShell/Java/JavaScript/BASH.
• 3 years designing cloud architectures across GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Configure DLP/DSPM solutions and manage sensitive info types.
• Collaborate on design of data protection solutions for on‑prem and cloud.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Write scripts (PowerShell, Python) to automate tasks.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance.
