Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Data Protection Engineer to drive implementation, maintenance, and operational support of our data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud platforms. Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience with cloud providers: GCP, AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees as listed above
• Cloud provider certifications (GCP/AWS/Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure components across platforms, including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, including sensitive information types and parameter tuning
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis
• Contribute to projects with testing, deployment, and documentation
• Utilize PowerShell, Python to improve deployment efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to expand data protection knowledge
• Stay current with data protection technologies, best practices, and compliance requirements
