Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work with DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions, ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows, Linux, and scripting in Python or PowerShell, plus cloud design skills across GCP/AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Data Loss Prevention and information security.
• Experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software across on-prem and cloud.
• Strong scripting in Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with architecture across GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
• Advanced cloud certifications preferred (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, PCI, ISO 27001/2 is expected.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation and documentation.
• Use PowerShell and Python to improve deployment efficiency.
• Collaborate with team to expand data protection expertise.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
