Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join its Data Protection team. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s data protection infrastructure, including DLP and DSPM solutions, across on-prem and cloud environments.

The candidate will work with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, and other security tools, contribute to policies and procedures, and develop automation scripts in PowerShell and Python to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification
• Collaborate on design of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud environments
• Configure data protection policies, tune detection parameters and manage exception lists
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Assist with testing, implementation and documentation of projects
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance
• Collaborate to expand knowledge and stay current with technologies
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements
• Other duties as assigned
