Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and operations of the data protection stack across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will work with senior engineers to improve policies, procedures, and controls related to DLP/DSPM and encryption.

The role requires hands-on experience with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows, Linux, and container platforms, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data protection technologies and DLP/DSPM tooling.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining data protection infrastructure.
• Experience with on‑prem and cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infra across platforms, deploying DLP and DSPM.
• Design and implement data protection solutions for on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Configure data protection policies, tuning detection and manage exceptions.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to support deployment and maintenance.
