Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure). You will configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions, and collaborate to design robust data protection policies.

The role requires strong scripting in PowerShell and Python, plus hands-on experience with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID and Varonis. Travel and on-site work are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Loss Prevention.
• 5+ years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3+ years in at least two modern programming languages (Python/Java/JS/Bash/PowerShell).
• 3+ years designing architecture for two cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of HITRUST NIST PCI HIPAA ISO etc.
• Bachelor's or Master's in relevant field; advanced cloud certs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation and documentation.
• Use PowerShell and Python to improve deployment efficiency.
• Collaborate with team to expand data protection knowledge.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
