Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement, operate, and optimize data protection across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure). You will configure DLP and DSPM tools, develop de-identification solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers on policy adherence and security standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, plus strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell).

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 4
• 5 years of deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP softwares.
• 5 years of creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell).
• 3 years of cloud design/architectural support for two major providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; 5+ years in Info Security/Governance/Regulatory roles.
• Master's degree in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Configure and tune DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on data protection design, aligning with business needs.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate as needed.
• Develop tests, documentation, and participate in project meetings.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell/Python to improve efficiency.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and regulatory requirements.
