Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. You will implement, maintain, and support the organization's data protection infrastructure and applications, working with senior engineers on policy standards and procedures.

You will gain exposure to Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows, Linux, and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure), and contribute to incident response, project testing, and documentation while improving DSPM and DLP

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of programming with Python, Java, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
• 3 years designing cloud architectures for GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure components across platforms.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, including sensitive information types.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, documentation, and meetings.
• Use PowerShell and Python to improve deployment and maintenance efficiency.
• Collaborate with team to expand technical knowledge.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
