Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking a Data Product Owner to lead data strategy across Product, Underwriting, and Actuarial domains. You will define data capture, quality, and governance, partnering with Data Engineering on pipelines and analytics to enable faster risk and pricing decisions.

You will own dashboards, KPI definitions, and advanced analytics use cases, including AI/ML enablement, with close collaboration across Finance, Claims, Reinsurance, IT, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data product ownership, analytics, or domain-focused data roles in P&C insurance is preferred.
• Strong understanding of underwriting concepts, actuarial data, and product management.
• Experience partnering with data engineering on pipelines, models, and quality frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex insurance concepts into clear technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end data strategy across Product, Underwriting, and Actuarial domains.
• Partner with data engineering to design pipelines feeding policy systems, rating engines, and analytics.
• Own dashboards and KPIs for underwriting performance, product profitability, and reserve monitoring.
• Identify AI/ML use cases and ensure models are explainable and embedded in workflows.
• Lead backlog grooming, user stories, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
