Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Platform to lead a team of 6-10 engineers building and operating cloud-native platform services. This player-coach role owns delivery, people, and technical direction for the team's domain.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, hiring and coaching, define priorities with product and platform leadership, and ensure reliability, scalability, and operability across hyperscaler, on-prem, and sovereign environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building production software and distributed systems.
• 5+ years people management of software engineers.
• Experience with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, GitOps, IaC knowledge.
• Ability to lead end-to-end delivery from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6-10 engineers building and operating core platform services.
• Own end-to-end delivery, priorities, and roadmap with product and platform leadership.
• Establish SLOs, on-call practices, and drive toil down across environments.
• Review designs and code; mentor team; foster high-trust engineering culture.
