ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Data Platform organization. You will design and implement features within the cloud-native platform, delivering work from development to production with limited guidance.

The role emphasizes hands-on building, automation, and collaboration with senior engineers to uphold platform standards. Requirements include 5+ years of software development, Kubernetes experience, and familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI into engineering workflows and tooling.
• 5+ years software development with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years with Master’s or PhD-equivalent.
• Hands-on production software experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong teamwork and ability to deliver features in an engineering squad.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate features and services in a cloud-native platform.
• Decompose work into executable tasks and manage risks.
• Collaborate with staff and senior engineers to align with design standards.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operability; write tests and runbooks; participate in on-call.
• Hands-on development focus; build automation and platform services for other teams.
• Mentor junior engineers via code reviews and pairing.
