Job summary

HASI is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Data Platform Engineering team. You will manage and evolve the enterprise data technology stack including Snowflake, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric, while partnering with Data Engineering to ensure reusable pipelines and reliable platforms.

You will evaluate new technologies, author SOPs, and own CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments. The role requires strong collaboration with security and analytics teams and a proactive, self-starting approach.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in platform/data engineering or data infrastructure.
Hands-on experience administering and optimizing Snowflake (warehouses, cost, security, performance).
Experience building and operating Apache Airflow environments and production data pipelines.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platform/lakehouse technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure automation.
Working knowledge of SQL Server and cloud-based data storage/compute.
Understanding of metadata management, data cataloging, and governance.

Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, and enhance the data engineering platform stack, focusing on Snowflake, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend platform improvements for capability, cost, or performance.
Author and maintain SOPs for platform usage, onboarding, and administration.
Collaborate with Data Engineering to define processes, coding standards, and reusable controls.
Configure and tune Snowflake environments, warehouses, roles, and access controls.
Build and maintain Airflow orchestration environments, DAG standards, and reliability.
Support and administer Microsoft Fabric workloads and integrate with existing platforms.
Own CI/CD pipelines to deploy platform changes across environments.
Contribute to metadata/catalog tooling to improve data discoverability and governance.
Monitor availability, performance, and cost; proactively resolve issues.
Support upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management of platform components.
Collaborate with security teams to maintain platform security and compliance.
Document architecture, configurations, and standards for knowledge sharing.
