Job summary

HAS I is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its Data Platform Engineering team. You will manage and enhance the platform stack, with a primary focus on Snowflake, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric, while partnering with Data Engineering to drive repeatable processes and scalable pipelines.

You will evaluate new technologies, author SOPs, and own CI/CD pipelines to support development, QA, and production. This role emphasizes governance, security, and cost optimization across cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in platform/data engineering or data infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on Snowflake administration and cost/perf tuning.
• Experience with Airflow environments and production data pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable modern data platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling for automation.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and cloud data storage/compute.
• Understanding of metadata management and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the data engineering platform stack focused on Snowflake, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Evaluate new technologies and propose platform upgrades to improve capability and cost.
• Create and maintain SOPs for platform usage and onboarding across tools.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to implement reusable processes, standards, and code controls.
• Configure Snowflake environments (warehouses, roles, monitoring, access).
• Build and maintain Airflow orchestration environments and deployment standards.
• Administer Microsoft Fabric workloads and ensure integration with existing platforms.
• Own CI/CD pipelines for platform changes across environments.
• Contribute to metadata/catalog tooling for data discoverability and governance.
• Monitor availability, performance, and cost; resolve issues proactively.
• Support platform upgrades, patches, and deprecations; work with security teams.
• Document architecture and standards for knowledge sharing.
