Job summary

FBS is seeking a data platforms engineer to own Airflow-based data workflows and orchestrations across Snowflake and Astronomer platforms. You will design scalable DAGs, build reusable components, and ensure monitoring, logging, and performance.

The role requires 4–6 years in a similar role with a IT-related degree, English fluency, and CST/PST availability. Collaborative, cross-functional teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Insurance experience is desirable.
• Fluency in English.
• Availability to work according to CST or PST time zones.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated data workflows and orchestrations using Apache Airflow.
• Design and optimize complex DAGs for scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Create reusable, parameterized, and modular Airflow components (operators, sensors, hooks).
• Develop reusable frameworks and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and other tools.
• Explain and communicate technical decisions to team members; mentor others in Airflow usage.
